New Children’s Play & Discovery Center
Coming Soon

School District 79 and Community Partners are working together to create a new fun filled place for early learning. It’s a place where everyone is welcome and everything is free. Located in portables next to VIU, the inside will be a magical miniature town with doll-sized buildings.

Play areas will include:
~a Restaurant
~ a Fire House/Rescue Station
~ a Boat & Dock
~ a Coast Salish Storytelling Village
~ a  Treehouse & Cave.

See more photos here: Children’s Play & Discovery Centre

The Center will be open 3~5 days a week with an early childhood educator to facilitate learning. Community groups may wish to use the Center at other times to provide learning opportunities or to book a play opportunity for children in their group. We plan to open the Center in February, 2014.

We are looking for more community partners…individuals, organizations, agencies &/or clubs…to help us create this special Center for children and families. If you can help, please contact Sheryl Koers at 250 748 0321 Local 226
