Tips for reporting problems:
Report the symptoms....if a workstation/computer is not functioning properly, the technicians can get clues from the symptoms presented in the failure - please don't suggest a cause. Example: if the computer screen shows a picture of a folder with a question mark on it, don't say the hard drive has failed - just describe the number of attempts to start the computer and the observed symptoms with each attempt.
When a student has difficulty logging in or using a particular workstation/computer, in your request for assistance please note the following information:
Student's Information - username and password
Location/Numberof the computer/workstation where the student experienced the difficulty - if he/she tried at several workstations and experienced the same difficulties, please include this in the report
