News Release - Chief Alphonse Visits Quamichan Middle School

The staff and students of the school have been working very hard to create a strong vibrant school community and this is an exciting opportunity for them to share the great work being done. Quamichan is one of our schools piloting Coast Salish Studies and Hul’q'umi’num’ Language Classes in addition to providing students with the opportunity to be involved in art, dance and cultural programs. They are looking forward to welcoming Chief Alphonse and hearing his message. This visit is representative of the growing positive relationship between Cowichan Tribes and the school district.
