News item – Primary students exhibit at Coffee on the Moon
Thirty-seven Ecole Duncan grade one and two students are currently living the life of artists while their artwork hangs on display at Canada Avenue’s popular Coffee on the Moon cafe. Until February 28, coffee-quaffers and drop-in visitors can see the young students’ portrayal of houses in the snow and colorful compositions of tropical toucans and fruit.
The students were thrilled to see their art show on display when they walked down to The Moon at the end of January, say teachers Diane Doucet and Wilma Millette.
“This colorful display demonstrates the children’s keen sense of color and composition as well as their great imagination,” explained Doucet.
“They love Art and our special drawing lessons, and now every student knows how it feels to be the artist they really are.”
The children and their art will be featured in a story in the local media.
