    News Release - Superintendent of Schools Announces His Retirement

    DUNCAN – Dan Boudreault, Superintendent of Schools for the Cowichan Valley School District announced his retirement effective June 30, 2011. When making his announcement, Mr. Boudreault thanked the Trustees for their support during his time in the Cowichan Valley.

    Mr. Boudreault started working for the Cowichan Valley School District on January 1, 2008, moving here from Port Hardy, where he was the Superintendent of the Vancouver Island North School District. In total, Dan has invested 38 years in the public education system. He has served as a teacher and principal at elementary and secondary schools. In addition, Dan has been Director of Instruction and/or Superintendent of Schools during the last ten years of his career.

    Candace Spilsbury, Chair of the Board, wished Mr. Boudreault all the best in his retirement and thanked him for his contributions to the School District.

    The Board of Education will commence its search for a new Superintendent in the near future.
