    "AFL'ing It Up!"

    Implementation Day Follow-Up #1

    Opening: Michael Jordan video

    Michael Jordan

I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.

    Connect re: Feedback and AFL

Table Talk: Remember one piece of feedback, positive or negative, that made a significant difference to you.

Fold the Line: What have you done in regards to Assessment For Learning since Implementation Day? Put yourselves in order from "Lots!" (This is a great time in my career for a professional challenge so I've been doing lots!) to "Nothing" (I have so much going on in my class, in my personal life etc. that I've had no room for additional challenges!) With your partner, talk about "What I am learning" and "How it is going."

Report Out: One highlight in our conversation was...

    Process: Descriptive feedback and Criteria

Cafe: 4 tables with exemplars to be discussed, using "Four Quadrants" with lense, "What I am Learning" Bring attention to the "Parking Spot" for the important questions that might come up, but which we may not get to this time.

Table 1: Case Studies - Linda's math story (article), Grade 1 from Vernon (building criteria), Damion Cooper (case study)

Table 2: Use of T-Chart- criteria and proof with mind map, criteria and work with transitions and humanities 10 groups

Table 3: Using exemplars - math, art, writing,

Table 4: Assessment black line masters

    Report Out:

    Transform: Reflection

    1. A question I am going to explore...

    2. Something new I'm going to try...

    3. 1 thing I am going to do less of in order to make room for something new....

    4. The person who has agreed to discuss what happens is.....

    Closing: Gorilla video

How is this a metaphor for what we did today?
