Last School Dance Thursday May 31st
Students – we need parents or guardians to supervise at our LAST DANCE of the YEAR on Thursday May 31st. Please ask your parents or guardians if they could volunteer their time, either from 6 to 7:30 pm or 7:30 to 9 pm. to help make this dance a reality!    Call the school to leave your name and number – thanks!

First Nations Dance Team has been invited to perform at three schools this May.  We will be leaving Quamichan Middle School at 8:30 am for the morning performances and 12:30 for the afternoon performance. 

     Monday, May 28, 2012 at Alex Aitken Elementary School (am only) and at Maple Bay (pm only)

Homework Club          Maggie (EA) is available in the Library each day to work with students who are behind in a “homework club”. Teachers can assign students to this program or students can choose to seek out extra help. If teachers are assigning students to the Homework Club they need to do so through Mr. Rowan (provide name, assignments to be done and the work). This is not a behavioral detention program, but an academic opportunity.

Basketball   The gym will now be open in the mornings for basketball.

Calligraphy  Everyone is welcome to come to Calligraphy after lunch eating on Tuesdays and Thursdays in the Art Room.

Hul'q'umi'num' Contest     First Nations students interested in entering the Hul'q'umi'num' Contest please see Claudia Sylvester for more information to sign up. It will be taking place on May 24, 2012 at Khowheman Elementary School.
