Welcome to George Bonner Middle School! Bonner is an exemplary middle school incorporating teaming, a flexible block schedule, exploratories for all students and daily PE.  Our middle school has been designed to be a “bridge” for transition from the elementary to high school.  We believe students in the middle years are special and require a special school organized to meet their needs.  It is our belief that we are such a school. Our organization and programs are designed to support students as they experience the physical, social, cognitive and emotional changes that are so powerful in the lives of middle schoolers.  We have dedicated, caring, collegial staff members who are committed to helping students successfully transition through these years.

We offer many programs and services to meet the unique needs of young adolescent learners.  Since middle school is a time of growth and exploration, students actively participate in a wide range of exploratory classes to discover their interests. Students meet with homeroom teachers on a daily basis for extra support.  All students use an agenda to help them with organization and for daily communication with the home.

George Bonner Middle School is working with our feeder schools Bench Elementary, Cobble Hill Elementary and Discovery Elementary as well with Frances Kelsey Secondary School as a South End Family of Schools to improve District grade-to-grade transition and graduation rates.
