Mission Statement

    Chemainus Elementary, in partnership with the community, will foster a safe and caring environment which promotes positive self esteem and helps students develop lifelong learning skills.

    1.  We are committed to guiding students to achieve their personal potential in academic and technology skills.

    2.  We are committed to providing a variety of experiences in fine arts and sports in order to encourage the development of a healthy lifestyle.

    3.  We are committed to helping students engage in positive actions to enhance the environment.

    4.  We believe in the shared use of resources and facilities of the school and the community.

    5.  We believe in the development of social skills and cultural awareness necessary for becoming a productive member of a multi-cultural society.

    6.  We strive to develop the physical and emotional potential of each child by emphasizing good health, safety, self-respect and the dignity of the individual.
