Principal's Message

Welcome to Cobble Hill Elementary

Cobble Hill Elementary has always been a significant part of the local community. We welcome parent involvement and encourage parents to volunteer and help in their child’s classroom and to work closely with the Parent Advisory Council. We strive to build a strong sense of school community with high parent involvement. Working together, we are able to provide a variety of extra activities for students.

At Cobble Hill we are fortunate to have a relatively new school facility. It is bright, cheery and welcoming. The staff is enthusiastic and dedicated to the students of the school. It is important to us that we create a warm, caring environment where students are proud of their accomplishments and enjoy coming to school. Students are encouraged to work and play together cooperatively modeling responsible and respectful behaviour.

If you are new to the area, please do not hesitate to visit our school.

About Cobble Hill/Mill Bay Elementary Schools

We are located in Cobble Hill just off the Trans Canada Highway, between Fisher and Hutchinson Roads. Although, our address says Learning Way, we are actually found at the end of Dougan Drive. Cobble Hill is a growing suburb in the south end of the school district. Our K- 5 School currently houses approximately 300 students. The school serves and area including the Malahat, Spectacle Lake, Mill bay and Cobble Hill communities.

We strive to build a strong sense of school community, through programs such as Second Step, student leadership, buddy activities, DARE, and charity work, such as Terry Fox, the Food Bank, and Adopt a Family etc.

Cobble Hill Elementary has a strong literacy program, which is supported by our learning assistant teacher and principal. Our school continues to utilize balanced reading and writing strategies that improve student learning as well as continues to develop problem solving skills which enhance life long learning. We offer a wide range of special activities throughout the year as well as a variety of sports teams and clubs for students to join.
