Ecology - Buttress Roots     Mr. Ward's 2/3 - Spring 2000        Home

Tropical rainforest trees have big, buttress roots because the soil is so shallow. Near rivers, fishes are dependent on these buttress roots. They shelter animals just in case they are in danger, like when a predator is trying to kill any animal. We have a part to try to not destroy the rain forest. Because then all the animals and plants are destroyed because of humans. Please stop! We are not asking for a lot. Just stop it!
