Principal's Message

Mount Prevost Middle is a central and integral part of the community, with its traditions, its staff and most importantly, its students.

As the educational leader of the school I am in a position to exercise tremendous influence. My vision of educational leadership is to accept this responsibility as a trust, that is the development of the nation’s greatest resource, the minds of its next generation. In so doing, I believe it is incumbent on the principal to influence the school community, the staff, the students, their parents and the community at large to implement a program of instruction that will enable this resource to be developed to its fullest extent. Such a program would encourage learners to acquire the skills, the attitudes and the knowledge that will enable them to enter post secondary institutions and acquire the occupational skills necessary to support themselves and to sustain the economy to the nation.

At Mount Prevost Middle we want our students to experience as many opportunities as possible, whether it be in the classroom, on field trips, at extra-curricular sporting events or as part of our many fine arts activities. Our entire staff is looking forward to working with you to foster an environment in which our students, your children, will enjoy success.

Jamie Doyle, Principal,
Mount Prevost Middle School
