Grade 6

     This beginner's course will focus on the safe use of simple hand tools and power tools. Students will have an opportunity to design and build small woodworking projects which they will take home. They will use non-toxic wood finishes on their projects.

Grade 7

     This course will focus on the safe use of tools and machinery to
construct projects. Suitable materials have been selected for students
to work with , such as wood, metal, plastic and finishing products.
Students will have the opportunity to use the process of design in
construction of their projects.

Grade 8

     In grade 8, students will focus on the safe use of tools and machinery toconstruct projects. Students will have the opportunity to use theprocess of design in construction of their projects. Suitable materialshave been selected for students to work with, such as wood, metal,plastic and finishing products. Students will learn to identify andclassify materials while exploring ways to minimize waste and reuseexisting products.
