Chemainus Secondary School (CSS), wishes to welcome all students to the upcoming 2008-2009 school year. We take great pride in our school and the many achievements of our students. Whether your goals include apprenticeship or trades training, college, technical school, arts school, university or the world of work – the knowledge and skills that you learn here, will always serve you well in the future.
Chemainus is a picturesque town located on the eastern coast of Vancouver Island, British Columbia. The town is internationally recognized for it's more than 30 huge murals painted on buildings throughout the community depicting the history of the local area. Chemainus Secondary School recently completed a major renovation which greatly improved the facilities and educational opportunities for our students. Approximately 400 students attend classes from Grades 8 -12. Students come from Chemainus and the neighboring communities of Crofton and Saltair.

30 Hour Famine is a Great Success!
Over 30 students once again volunteered their time and dedication to focus their energy on famine relief. In excess of $3500 was raised in a variety of methods including pledges, a car wash and donations. Well done Chemainus!

“European Travelers” - During Spring break 2009, 4 students from Chemainus Secondary School, and 3 accompanying adults went on a fantastic trip through Italy, Greece and Turkey. Chemainus Students Spencer King, Paige Johnson, Chris McAulay and Tanis Lerner saw over 4000 years of Western civilization and had a marvelous time. Mr. Marlin is planning another trip to Europe in March 2011 in which he hopes to take students through London, Paris and Amsterdam.
