Our School Vision

At Palsson Elementary School a positive and stimulating learning environment is provided. We are a cooperative, healthy school. You will see students and teachers learning from each other. A spirit of belonging, sharing , and acceptance is alive in our mutual commitment to success. Our school is a friendly, caring and challenging place to be.

At Palsson Elementary School, we believe that each member of our school community is a learner and can take personal responsibility for creating a positive learning environment by:

· developing a feeling of pride in achievement and progress.

The Staff of Palsson Elementary School is dedicated to creating an environment for children which will stimulate continuous intellectual growth as well as promote physical, aesthetic, social, and emotional development.

Our School Goals for 1999-2000

· To improve students' knowledge, skills and attitudes towards computers, so that the computers become an integral part of classroom curricula.

· To develop a school plan whereby a greater number of learning outcomes from the Science and Social Studies IRP's are achieved.

· Recreational Reading - to encourage students to increase the amount of time they read for pleasure.

· With the support of our P.A.C. continue to implement the Accelerated Reading Program.

· Continue to beautify our school yard.
